Round and Around we go - Roundabout Itaewon
With Emma being in Goa right now, I thought I would do a
flashback to when we enjoyed a wonderful Indian meal together. Or sort of
Indian. Actually, it was Japanese. Nevertheless, if you remember Arrier Cour,
this is the restaurant we went to before. Kind of wanting burgers – like pretty
much always – I was not 100% convinced of the idea of going to Roundabout at
first. The interior of the place is kept quite simple. Small, plain and with
wooden chairs and tables.
Emma, being a vegetarian at the time, had difficulty selecting a dish, but finally found something with the help of some good old-fashioned hand and feet communication with the waiter. We happily babbled about and I do have to say at this point, that I miss you very dearly Emma! You are a big part of the semester abroad for me and I admire you for so many things. One of the things I admire you the most for, is the consistency, with which you stay true to yourself no matter what. It is not important who or what sits in front of you, you are always simply yourself. Beyond that, however, you also allow everyone around you to be themselves, with every quirky little habit and weird opinion. In the end, you do not let everybody in, but just giving everyone an equal chance is truly a beautiful gift to the world, that in the future more people, including myself will be able to give.

Sentimental matters by side: We did get our food in the end
and it was delicious. It was however, not vegetarian. Being very hungry, it was
not a big problem and both of us enjoyed the meal very much. In the end, everyone
lived happily ever after, Roundabout gets a recommendation from us and Emma
quits being a vegetarian.
