Arrier Cour - gastronomical elegance
Arrier Cour. My favorite café in Seoul so far! Emma and I
were strolling the streets of Itaewon, full from a delicious lunch on the
lookout for coffee. We fell in love with Arrier Cour the moment we saw the
bronze benches in front of it.
Stepping into the café I could not stop myself
from smiling. The mixture of pure elegance and roughness made me feel
immediately at home. What really was so charming about this café was the
diverse mixture of materials and colors. Being calming, organized and so
harmonious at the same time. This balance is not easily kept with this sort of
diversity.
Moreover, sitting in this café you will not get bored for hours. I
could not stop myself from looking around the café and see a new, little detail
every time I let my eyes wander. Additionally, the café attracts mainly style
conscious people, which were also fun to look at.
As we already had a filling lunch we only had a cup of coffee. Emma had a Nutlatte, which she found incredibly delicious and I had a cappuccino which was ok but nothing special. Though, I must say that I am also not really a coffee person. At the counter I glimpsed a look at the cake selection which in spite of my full belly looked mouthwatering.
Emma was a bit hungover and tired this day, but nevertheless in a really good mood. Before going into the café, we had wandered into a second hand vintage store with looots of wonderful jackets, shoes and especially purses! Emma bought a really nice, black vintage Versace backpack, happy about being able to negotiate the price with the sales lady. Once we arrived in Arrier Cour, we brainstormed on The Last Supper and Emma came up with the color theme you see today!
